Wow, The Shield season 4 DVDs continue to pick off where the craziness left off at the end of season 3. If you're building up your collection of The Shield on DVD, then you can continue on by purchasing this great season, another tour de force from the creators, writers and actors from this show.
In the fourth season of The Shield, the team starts out in turmoil. If you saw the end of season 3, then you know that Lem burned the majority of the Money Train money, and the team split up as a result. Now, with Aceveda in the city council, there's a new captain steering the ship at the Barn. It's Monica Rawlings, played excellently and powerfully by Glenn Close.
Captain Rawlings begins shaking things up immediately, and it's clear that she's going to be taking a different approach to running things. But is it possible that she actually is a fan of Vic Mackey? The two seem to see eye to eye on certain things, at least more than Vic and anybody else, but could that possibly ever last? Will the Strike Team get back together, or are they doomed to hate one another now?

What an AWESOME show. The returning cast is top notch, but you also get Glenn Close as well. If you've never seen the Shield before, you are lucky because you don't have to wait a week for the next episode. Start with SEASON ONE because each season builds on the previous one and gets better and better. Love the SHIELD!

The Shield is a fantastic series, and this season was not disappointing. Bringing in Glenn Close as the Barn's captain was good - and how she is quickly swept out is great.
I did not start watching this show until recently, and have caught up on DVD. It is an outstanding show, with a lot of gray areas to contemplate.
Good one!

Good series. Fantasy and a lot of fun. The script is full of laughs - some obvious and lots of sleepers.
NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO...
