Now's your chance to buy The Pacific blu-ray box set for an amazing cheap sale price. You can bring this stellar HBO miniseries about World War II in the Pacific, with the Marines battling the entrenched Japanese forces, as well as the terrain and conditions, and watch it from start to finish and then all over again. The Pacific blu-ray boxed set is a great buy, so add it to your collection and check out the sale and more information below.

From the producers of Band of Brothers, The Pacific tracks the real-life journeys of three U.S. Marines--Robert Leckie (James Badge Dale), Eugene Sledge (Joe Mazzello) and John Basilone (Jon Seda)--across the vast canvas of the Pacific Theater during World War II. The miniseries follows these men and their fellow Marines from their first battle with the Japanese on Guadalcanal, through the rain forests of Cape Gloucester and the strongholds of Peleliu, across the bloody sands of Iwo Jima and through the horror of Okinawa, and finally to their triumphant but uneasy return home after V-J Day.

This is an epic miniseries from HBO that will keep you drawn in from the beginning all the way to the final seconds. It interweaves real life stories and harrowing accounts of the horrors of war, with personal moments and insights about the character and personalities of all of the men involved.

Some feel the The Pacific blu-ray doesn't quite live up to the Band of Brothers, which was a fantastic HBO series also made in conjunction with Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. The two shows are certainly very different from one another. The pace is probably a bit slower in this one, and each episode focuses on a different character or group of characters, changing focus several times throughout the series.

Still, buying the Pacific on blu-ray is really a no brainer. This is still a fantastic series, and it offers intriguing tales that have never really been heard before. This half of WWII is so often forgotten and overlooked, particularly the smaller bit still fierce and deadly battles sandwiched between the big name ones like Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima.

Above you can find the Pacific blu-ray boxed set for sale at a great, cheap price. The sales and discounts available for The Pacific are fantastic and make bringing this one home even better. Add the boxed set The Pacific blu-ray to your collection today!

The Dexter Season 4 DVDs are now available for sale, and they are a must own for fans of the series. This was a fantastic season of Dexter, and it took things up to an entirely new level with the shocker of an ending. Pick up the DVD set for Dexter Season Four right here at a special cheap sale price, and find out more information below.

Of course by now you probably know the story of Dexter and what it's all about. Part forensic policeman and blood specialist, and part homicidal serial killer, Dexter Morgan has to balance these two different halves of his personality and his life. Sometimes he does the job excellently, and other times not so much.

In season four of Dexter, he has a new baby boy. It's time for Dexter to not just be a father for Rita's kids, but also to raise his own flesh and blood from birth. As you might imagine, this presents a great deal of conflict in his life. He has no time to go about his dirty deeds, and has more responsibilities at home. All of this is compounded by his new target, the Trinity Killer, portrayed by John Lithgow. Who is going to come out ahead in this cat and mouse game that the two of them play?

The last episode and the ending of the fourth season of Dexter is truly a mind blowing shocker. Guaranteed you would not see that one coming, and guaranteed once you see it you are going to have to watch it again. The show certainly raised the stakes, and if you want to catch up on this great season, or take home your favorites to watch again and again, you can buy the Dexter season 4 DVDs right here. We have a discount price available, so you can rest assured these are the cheapest season 4 Dexter DVDs you are going to be able to find. Take them home today and get on with the fun!

The Dexter seasons on DVD are some of the hottest selling items in terms of boxed sets and television shows. The show has really taken the public by storm, and it has continued to grow in popularity with each and every season. Now season 4 has been released, and there are also boxed sets of Dexter on DVD and blu-ray available, giving you a great selection to choose between when you'd like to bring home this instant-classic series to your home.

As mentioned above, you can now buy Dexter season four on DVD. In the fourth season of the fantastic Showtime series, Dexter is experiencing an entirely new life. He's married to Rita now, and the two live together. That means he's full-time in a relationship, and he's a full-time parent. Not just to Rita's kids, but to his newborn son. Of course, this doesn't quite mesh with his alternate lifestyle and his penchant for going on killing sprees.

Adding to the mess is the hunt for the Trinity Killer, a man that manages to captivate Dexter to a large degree. Dexter infiltrates his life, but it's a dangerous game that can lead to serious consequences for everybody involved. If you haven't already heard, the fourth season of Dexter on DVD ends with a huge, shocking ending, and it's something that you cannot miss. If you didn't see it yet, then you have to buy the Dexter season 4 DVDs as soon as possible to watch it for yourself.

Taking home the entire series though can be a fantastic way to have this landmark television show within grasp at all times. You can now buy Dexter boxed sets on DVD, including these available for seasons 1-3. You can buy them in Blu-ray or DVD format, and both have discount prices that you can take advantage of. You'll be hard pressed to find a better value anywhere else, and it will provide you with endless hours of entertainment.

When you buy boxed set DVDs of Dexter, you get to watch everything right from the beginning. The show has really evolved since then, while retaining much of the same style and many of the same themes. Each season is its own journey, and Dexter has changed drastically as a character since the beginning of the show. Personally, I believe that the series continues to get better and better with each season, and when you watch the entire show back-to-back with the Dexter boxed set DVD collection, you really get to see how it all plays out, and how everything ties together.

The bottom line is that Dexter seasons on DVD are a fantastic purchase, either for yourself or as a gift to anybody that's a fan of the show. It's a really fascinating, unique and entertaining show, and of course it's super addictive once you start watching it. If you've seen it before, then settle down and prepare to watch it from the beginning and you'll still be just as entertained while you gain some additional insight and perspective. If you've missed any of the action or need to start from scratch, buy some of the cheap Dexter seasons on DVD and catch up!

If you're a fan of Dexter and looking to add to your collection with some of the other seasons, then check out our complete collection of Dexter DVDs available for sale. Now that they’ve launched their drug business, there’s no turning back for Walt and his young partner, Jesse.

Using Walt’s knowledge of chemistry to cook up high-grade methamphetamine to pay for Walt’s cancer treatments, the pair is thrust into a netherworld of murder, mayhem and the twin threats of exposure and arrest. Amid suspicions about her husband’s fidelity, Walt’s wife Skyler faces an unexpected pregnancy and a grim financial outlook that forces her back to work for a boss she once threatened to sue for sexual harassment.

The prospect of leaving his family penniless catapults Walt headlong into the deal to end all deals, elevating his reputation in the eyes of criminals and cops alike, but bringing him and Jesse to the brink of disaster while potentially making them rich beyond anything they could have dreamed up.

Bryan Cranston is sensational in the lead role of the show, and he really carries the action and the story. The show is unique and exciting, and it's always a guess to see what happens next. The season 2 DVDs from Breaking Bad are certainly worth your time and money!

The first season of Breaking Bad made the show one of the most talked about on television, and it gave Bryan Cranston an Emmy for Best Actor. The engaging, compelling, inventive and totally unique season 1 of Breaking Bad is now on DVD, and you can pick it up and add it to your collection today. Pick up where the series began and get hooked for yourself.

No one would confuse the desperate dad Bryan Cranston plays in this character-driven drama with the fun-loving Hal from Malcolm in the Middle. In AMC's Breaking Bad, Walter White lives in the suburbs with his wife--and wears tighty-whiteys--but the similarities end there. During the pilot, the cash-strapped chemistry teacher finds out he has inoperable lung cancer.

He and Skyler (Deadwood's Anna Gunn) have one son, Walter Jr. (R.J. Mitte), and a daughter on the way. With two years to get his affairs in order, Walter comes up with a wild plan: he and former student Jesse (Aaron Paul), a drug dealer, will open a meth lab.

In the hands of creator Vince Gilligan (The X-Files), Bad's first season plays like the improbable offspring of Weeds and The Shield. With nothing left to lose, the Albuquerque 50-year-old uses his death sentence as a catalyst to break every rule he's ever followed while keeping his family--including Skyler's radiologist sister, Marie (Betsy Brandt), and her DEA agent husband, Hank (Dean Norris)--out of the loop.

Throughout these seven episodes, Walt takes on a hostage, a dead body, and a partner who likes to sample his own product. Based on the description alone, the program shouldn't work as well as it does, except Gilligan and company keep the situations psychologically believable and Emmy winner Cranston makes Walt surprisingly sympathetic as he swings between compassion and self-interest. As he tells his students, "Chemistry is the study of change," a statement that applies equally well to the show, since Walt ends up in a very different place than the one he began. This three-disc set comes complete with cast and crew commentary, an installment of AMC's Shootout, two featurettes, deleted scenes, and screen tests. --Kathleen C.

The Shield DVDs are now available as one boxed set. That means you can take home the entire groundbreaking series of The Shield on DVD, and you can pick it up for one great, cheap price. If you're looking for the utmost in entertainment, action and intensity, then it doesn't get better than this and you have to do yourself a favor and make this purchase today!

If you ask around you'll find that for many people, the Shield complete series ranks among the all-time great television shows in any genre. It's nonstop entertainment from beginning to end, and you'll always be eager to catch the next episode and see how the story unfolds.

One of the great aspects of the entire set of the Shield DVDs is that there is one story that the show follows all the way through. Of course each season has its own focus and its own arcs and story lines, but the main theme carries all of the way through.

In the very first episode of the Shield you learn about Vic Mackey and the Strike Team. A the-ends-justifies-the-means police task force that does what it has to in order to bring in criminals and stay ahead of anybody who wants to take them down, even if those are other police officers.

The actions of the very first episode dictate the entire The Shield complete series DVD box set collection. So from episode 1 until the end of episode 88 at the end of season 7, you're on a crazy thrill ride that ties everything together. There's always a consequence for your actions, and all of the characters live that out.

The stories and the characters of The Shield are of course what drives the show, but it's the action that keeps everybody coming back for more. Lines and boundaries are constantly crossed and sometimes don't even exist. Rivalries, alliances and friendships are always in flux. It's always us against them, but the people that make up those sides don't always change.

The hard thing about buying the Shield DVDs and boxed set complete series collection is that you'll be hard pressed to stop watching. Once you start, you'll want to knock off three, four or five episodes in a sitting! So clear out your schedule and get ready for a ride.

Here's what the Shield complete series on DVD includes:

All 88 episodes from seasons 1-7 of the show

30+ page anthology book

Bonus features, deleted scenes, mini-sodes, commentaries and lots more extras

If you already own a few seasons of the Shield or want to start out nice and slow, you can purchase the individual seasons of the Shield on DVD as well.

Whether you are looking to add to your own collection or to give somebody a gift they will truly appreciate for years to come, you have to consider the Shield on DVD boxed set and complete series. All of the episodes, all of the action, all of the craziness and of course that epic ending. The complete the Shield DVDs collection is now available, so what are you waiting for? Pick up The Shield complete series on DVD today and let the fun begin.

With the Wire season 5 DVDs, the fantastic HBO television series comes to a close. The epic show takes a look at the press in this season, and their role in society and where they stand today. Of course all of the usual ground is covered, and there is finally some closure to the continuing struggles and lives of the compelling characters. Buy the Wire season 5 DVDs here and read on for a full review as well.

A barroom toast to Det. Jimmy McNulty (Dominic West), a one-man good cop/bad cop, offered in The Wire's final episode could very well serve as this series' epitaph: "When you were good, you were the best we had." Season five bears witness to this.

The 10 riveting, wrenching episodes focus on yet another beleaguered Baltimore institution, The Baltimore Sun daily newspaper, whose staff, much like the police, is forced to do more with less. One editor (Clark Johnson) struggles to maintain the paper's journalistic standards in the face of declining ad revenues, employee buyouts and bureau closures. (Continue with the review below!)

An ambitious reporter (Tom McCarthy) undermines him by taking a page out of the Stephen Glass/Jayson Blair playbook, manufacturing sensational quotes, and eventually, whole stories, while bean-counter management encourages its rising star and keeps its eye on the (Pulitzer) prize. Meanwhile, on the streets, the year-long investigation of rising drug lord Marlo Sansfield (Jamie Hector) and the 22 bodies found in "the vacants" has been discontinued and police morale is at an all-time low (the money promised to the department has been diverted to the schools). McNulty manufactures a serial killer case that will have far-reaching repercussions in the mayor's office, where Tommy Carcetti (Aidan Gillen) is mounting a run for governor a mere two years into his term. "I wonder what it would be like to work at a real police station," McNulty rages at one point. The Wire, as ever, is all about real. It's a gritty and unflinching look at life in one of roughest districts of a "broke-ass city." There is street justice for some characters, and street injustice for others. Some meet sad, sudden, or shocking ends that defy TV convention. Referring to Marlo, McNulty declares early on, "He does not get to win; we get to win." The hard-earned victories are mostly small, or come with a price. Not that The Wire does not offer glimmers of hope. Bubbles (Andre Royo) struggles to maintain his sobriety (Steve Earle portrays the leader of his 12-step program and also does the theme song honors this season), and the final episode features a cameo by Jim True-Frost as the once overwhelmed teacher, "Prez," who now seems to have the hang of the job. The ratings-strapped and criminally Emmy-snubbed The Wire has always been a critic's darling with a passionate fan base. To the show's credit, it did not make itself more accessible in its final season (consequently, its send-off did not receive near the fanfare of The Sopranos or Sex and the City). That should not dissuade newcomers to the show. It is heavy lifting, and if you're just joining The Wire, a visit to the show's official website for orientation is recommended. But buy it, watch it, and be patient. It's so worth it. From the masterful storytelling to the peerless ensemble, it just doesn't get any better than The Wire. But that's not exactly news. --Donald Liebenson

The Wire Season 4 DVD is a very unique approach to the show and to television as a whole. The award winning, crowd favorite cop and crime television series takes an intelligent approach to viewing the youth of the inner city of Baltimore. Being pulled on from all sides, they head in many different divergent directions with their lives. Pick up The Wire season 4 on DVD right here today.

Even if you missed the first three seasons (the character guides and thorough episode recaps on HBO's website are recommended), and with only one season left, it's not too late to get in under The Wire. In fact, season 4 is an accessible introduction for those who know The Wire only by its street cred as arguably the very best show on television. (Continue the review below!)

For them especially, this season will be, as befitting its theme, a real education. Without resorting to melodramatics that other ratings-challenged series employ to gain that frustratingly elusive audience, The Wire shakes things up this season in a way that is true to the series and its characters. A major character, Dominic West's McNulty, plays a minor role as a contented street cop and family man, while a former supporting player, Jim True-Frost's Roland Pryzbylewski, goes to the head of the class as a new eighth grade teacher at beleaguered Edward Tilghman Middle School. It may take a couple of episodes to orient yourself to the Baltimore backrooms, squad rooms, classrooms, and street corners where The Wire's intense dramas play out, and new viewers may miss something in character nuance, but they will easily grasp the big picture. A politically motivated shake-up sends Major Crimes detectives Freamon (Clarke Peters) and Greggs (Sonja Sohn) to Homicide. The gloves come off in the mayoral race between black incumbent Clarence Royce (Glynn Turman) and idealistic white challenger Tommy Carcetti (Aidan Gillen). Gang leader Marlo (Jamie Hector) quietly and deliberately becomes the city's new drug kingpin, managing to subvert all surveillance efforts. Meanwhile, while "Prez" tries to reach his students, four highly at-risk kids will be drawn into the drug trade. Mere synopsis does not do The Wire justice. The series deftly juggles its myriad storylines and characters, all of whom make an impression, from Marlo's cold-blooded enforcers, Snoop (Felicia Pearson) and Chris (Gbenga Akinnagbe), to boxing instructor "Cutty" (Chad L. Coleman), determined to keep his young charges off the corners. There is not a false note in the performances or the writing. Richard Price (Clockers) and Dennis Lehane (Mystic River) again contributed episodes. That this series has only been nominated for only one Emmy (for writing) is a travesty. As engrossing as the finest novels and in a class by itself, this isn't television; it's The Wire. --Donald Liebenson
