Now's your chance to buy The Pacific blu-ray box set for an amazing cheap sale price. You can bring this stellar HBO miniseries about World War II in the Pacific, with the Marines battling the entrenched Japanese forces, as well as the terrain and conditions, and watch it from start to finish and then all over again. The Pacific blu-ray boxed set is a great buy, so add it to your collection and check out the sale and more information below.

From the producers of Band of Brothers, The Pacific tracks the real-life journeys of three U.S. Marines--Robert Leckie (James Badge Dale), Eugene Sledge (Joe Mazzello) and John Basilone (Jon Seda)--across the vast canvas of the Pacific Theater during World War II. The miniseries follows these men and their fellow Marines from their first battle with the Japanese on Guadalcanal, through the rain forests of Cape Gloucester and the strongholds of Peleliu, across the bloody sands of Iwo Jima and through the horror of Okinawa, and finally to their triumphant but uneasy return home after V-J Day.

This is an epic miniseries from HBO that will keep you drawn in from the beginning all the way to the final seconds. It interweaves real life stories and harrowing accounts of the horrors of war, with personal moments and insights about the character and personalities of all of the men involved.

Some feel the The Pacific blu-ray doesn't quite live up to the Band of Brothers, which was a fantastic HBO series also made in conjunction with Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. The two shows are certainly very different from one another. The pace is probably a bit slower in this one, and each episode focuses on a different character or group of characters, changing focus several times throughout the series.

Still, buying the Pacific on blu-ray is really a no brainer. This is still a fantastic series, and it offers intriguing tales that have never really been heard before. This half of WWII is so often forgotten and overlooked, particularly the smaller bit still fierce and deadly battles sandwiched between the big name ones like Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima.

Above you can find the Pacific blu-ray boxed set for sale at a great, cheap price. The sales and discounts available for The Pacific are fantastic and make bringing this one home even better. Add the boxed set The Pacific blu-ray to your collection today!

The Secret DVD is a favorite the world over, and you can buy it here for a discount sale price. What is "the secret"? It's the fact that thoughts turn into things, and positive thinking can make all of the difference to you in your life, your relationships, your career and everything you do. Watch this inspirational film and put it to use in your own life, you'll love owning your own copy of The Secret on DVD when you're in need of some help, direction or advice.

Not really a movie or documentary, The Secret is more of a video seminar, a presentation featuring a series of authors, philosophers, doctors, quantum physicists, entrepreneurs, and spiritual practitioners expounding on the powers of The Secret (probably the most well-known of the presenters is Jack Canfield, author of Chicken Soup for the Soul and The Success Principles). What is The Secret, exactly? "That principle can be summed up in three simple words: thoughts become things," proclaims writer Mike Dooley, author of Notes from the Universe. Put it another way, it’s The Power of Positive Thinking and how it can be applied to attracting more money, better health, and relationships; in short, happiness. (There is a rundown of topics on the DVD Chapters menu). Most of the material here is given in a straightforward manner, with the presenters simply talking into the camera to address the audience directly, which is good because it avoids the trap of pretense. On the other hand, the quick edits between presenters (would it hurt to let them say more than one sentence at a time?) don't help because it reduces many of their points to palatable sound bites and aphorisms. To many viewers, this may make the program come across as a series of nice ideas not rooted in reality. Plus it's somewhat spurious to claim that The Secret was well understood and practiced by specific individuals like Plato or Shakespeare (it's well known that some of the historical figures noted didn't exactly live happy or even prosperous lives, despite their achievements). But still, the primary message is one of positivity and hope for everyone. So what to make of it? In the end, programs like this generally find an audience that is open to the message, and many will probably find it to be a source of inspiration. Others will approach it with a good deal of skepticism or dismiss it as another way of marketing happiness the masses. It simply won’t resonate with everyone, but if it resonates with you, you're likely to enjoy it and get a lot out of it. Those looking for more on The Secret might want to check out the companion book by Rhonda Byrne. --Daniel Vancini

One of the top rated films that has flown under the radar from the past year or two is The Young Victoria. Starring Emily Blunt as - you guessed it, a young - Queen Victoria, this is a historical drama and romance that does a sensational job in capturing the essence of the time and the individuals at center stage. Buy the Young Victoria on DVD here and enjoy the discounts and sale prices that are available.

Stills from The Young Victoria (Click for larger image)

Emily Blunt and Rupert Friend star in the lavish historical drama, The Young Victoria. Resolved to establish her authority over those who rule in her stead, a young and inexperienced Queen Victoria (Blunt) draws strength from the love of Albert (Friend), the handsome prince who’s stolen her heart. Based on the courtship and early reign of England’s longest-serving monarch, The Young Victoria is a majestic tale of romance, intrigue and power.

There are a lot of things to enjoy about the Young Victoria DVD. The acting from all of the major characters is extremely well done. The entire period of time, as well as the individual characters, all seems to be captured with a high level of accuracy and a strong, careful attention to detail. From the costumes and sets to the intriguing and captivating story of it all, The Young Victoria on DVD is a great flick to add to your collection.

Leo's character, a Federal Marshal named Teddy Daniels, is first seen vomiting and jittery aboard a ferry; he and his new partner (Mark Ruffalo) are being taken across the water to investigate an escape from a prison for the criminally insane, located on a forbidding rock called Shutter Island. From the first, Scorsese treats the place as though it were Skull Island in King Kong, worthy of ominous music cues and portentous camera angles. This might not be an easy assignment for the sweaty, anxious Daniels, who is haunted by his memories of German concentration camps and the loss of his wife (Michelle Williams, appearing in ghostly hallucinations). The audience will likely feel just as unnerved as Daniels, given the destabilizing nature of Robert Richardson's swooping cinematography and Thelma Schoonmaker's crazy-making editing scheme (it feels as though fractions of seconds have been removed from the timing of simple conversations, giving the movie a strung-out edginess--it's like watching Ray Liotta's cocaine meltdown sequence from GoodFellas for 138 minutes). Ben Kingsley and Max von Sydow are staff psychiatrists, suspiciously eager to talk about lobotomies, and Ted Levine and Patricia Clarkson appear for small but potent turns. Scorsese appears to be "doing a genre picture" here, borrowing happily from influences such as Val Lewton and Samuel Fuller, and the film has a resultingly put-on atmosphere: a great deal of old-dark-house Sturm und Drang whipped up in service of a gimmicky little premise. The fade-out achieves some measure of real eeriness, and the whole shebang is certainly a kicky night out at the movies--if you can shake the sense that a talented filmmaker is working a couple of rungs beneath his level. --Robert Horton

The first stop-motion feature shot in stereoscopic 3-D, Coraline features big-headed, stick-bodied animated characters with huge eyes and demonic grins set against menacing backgrounds and an undercurrent of spooky music. Coraline is a teenager who has just moved to an old house in the middle of nowhere with her writer parents and she is bored, bored, bored. Her only companions are an annoyingly talkative boy Wybie (short for Why Born), some eccentric neighbors from the theater and circus, and a strange, button-eyed doll with a marked resemblance to Coraline which Wybie found in an old trunk of his grandmother's. When Coraline finds an old door hidden behind an armoire and papered over with wallpaper, she convinces her mother to unlock it, only to find a wall of bricks. When Coraline revisits the door later that night, the bricks magically disappear and she discovers a strange pathway to another world where everything is just what she wishes for. In stark contrast to the real world where Coraline's parents just don't have time for her, her "Other Mother" and "Other Father" in this alternate world are the perfect loving, attentive parents who anticipate her every need and desire. Initially comforted and quite happy in this new world, suspicion that things may not be quite as they seem grows inside Coraline and her disquiet is furthered by the mute "Other Wybie" and a strange-talking cat that seems to move between both worlds. Eventually, Coraline discovers some dark secrets about her "other parents" and the seemingly perfect "other world," but it may be too late for her to escape back to the real world. Teri Hatcher is especially effective in her dual (voice) role as Mom and "Other Mom" and Dakota Fanning also gives a great performance as Coraline. Coraline is a disturbing, intriguing film that both captivates and frightens.

Alice in Wonderland is back and better than ever starring Johnny Depp in this Tim Burton renovation. The new Alice n Wonderland DVD and Blu-ray are now both available for sale at discount prices. Buy them below and see a full review of the new Alice in Wonderland on blu-ray and DVD.

Tim Burton was born to bring Alice in Wonderland to the big screen. Ironically, his version of the Victorian text plays more like The Wizard of Oz than a Lewis Carroll adaptation. On the day of her engagement party, the 19-year-old Alice (a nicely understated Mia Wasikowska) is lead by a white-gloved rabbit to an alternate reality that looks strangely familiar--she's been dreaming about it since she was 6 years old.

Stills from Alice in Wonderland

Stranded in a hall of doors, she sips from a potion that makes her shrink and nibbles on a cake that makes her grow. Once she gets the balance right, she walks through the door that leads her to Tweedledum and Tweedledee (Matt Lucas), the Dormouse (Barbara Windsor), the Blue Caterpillar (Alan Rickman), and the Cheshire Cat (a delightful Stephen Fry), who inform her that only she can free them from the wrath of the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter channeling Bette Davis) by slaying the Jabberwocky.

To pull off the feat, she teams up with the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp in glam-rock garb), rebel bloodhound Bayard (Timothy Spall), and Red's sweet sister, the White Queen (Anne Hathaway in goth-rock makeup). While Red welcomes Alice with open arms, she plans an execution for the hat-maker when he displeases her ("Off with his head!"). Drawing from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, Burton creates a candy-colored action-adventure tale with a feminist twist. If it drags towards the end, his 3-D extravaganza still offers a trippy good time with a poignant aftertaste. --Kathleen C. Fennessy

The Dexter Season 4 DVDs are now available for sale, and they are a must own for fans of the series. This was a fantastic season of Dexter, and it took things up to an entirely new level with the shocker of an ending. Pick up the DVD set for Dexter Season Four right here at a special cheap sale price, and find out more information below.

Of course by now you probably know the story of Dexter and what it's all about. Part forensic policeman and blood specialist, and part homicidal serial killer, Dexter Morgan has to balance these two different halves of his personality and his life. Sometimes he does the job excellently, and other times not so much.

In season four of Dexter, he has a new baby boy. It's time for Dexter to not just be a father for Rita's kids, but also to raise his own flesh and blood from birth. As you might imagine, this presents a great deal of conflict in his life. He has no time to go about his dirty deeds, and has more responsibilities at home. All of this is compounded by his new target, the Trinity Killer, portrayed by John Lithgow. Who is going to come out ahead in this cat and mouse game that the two of them play?

The last episode and the ending of the fourth season of Dexter is truly a mind blowing shocker. Guaranteed you would not see that one coming, and guaranteed once you see it you are going to have to watch it again. The show certainly raised the stakes, and if you want to catch up on this great season, or take home your favorites to watch again and again, you can buy the Dexter season 4 DVDs right here. We have a discount price available, so you can rest assured these are the cheapest season 4 Dexter DVDs you are going to be able to find. Take them home today and get on with the fun!

Surely you've seen Avatar already, because judging from the box office numbers just about everybody and their mother across the globe watched the movie in the theaters... twice. But now you can buy the Avatar Blu-ray, and the Avatar DVD as well and bring it home to add into your personal collection.

Fans (and fanatics) have been counting down the days and the hours until the Avatar blu-ray was released, and that time is finally here. As you might expect, the demand for has been huge, and it's currently topping the list of the top 10 DVDs for sale.

People love this movie for all kinds of different reasons. Some people love Avatar because of the story and its correlations to the way life on our planet actually is and actually could be. Other people love Avatar because of the sensational imagery, wonderful special effects, beautiful scenery and characters and more. Others love the well done sci-fi epic for its story, and others appreciate it all.

Right now you can find several different versions of Avatar available for sale. You can find the Avatar Blu-ray and DVD combo. This includes both a Blu-ray and DVD copy, which is very convenient. The other is a standalone Avatar DVD copy for those who don't have a Blu Ray player.

So which one of these should you buy? If you have a Blu-ray player already, the answer is obvious of course, and you should scoop up the Avatar blu-ray right now. However, if you think you might be getting a Blu Ray player sometime soon, then you should consider purchasing that addition as well.

It comes with a DVD copy so you will be able to watch it in the meantime, then when you make your upgrade you'll still have your own copy of the movie and you'll be able to take advantage of the enhanced quality. The price difference isn't that big between the two. Of course, if buying a Blu-ray player isn't in your near future, then stick with the Avatar DVD solo copy, which is still a fantastic choice.

Whichever you decide on, you'll be able to bring home your own edition of this sci-fi epic today. It's a movie on a such a grand scale that few others have ever attempted it, and certainly the ones that did were not able to pull it off so wonderfully as Avatar did. So buy the Avatar blu-ray or DVD today so you can watch it again and again from home, owning a true masterpiece in the movie realm.

Two of the best documentaries and television shows of any kind are now both available on Blu-ray! These are the dual series that aired on both BBC and the Discovery Channel, Planet Earth and Life. You can buy Planet Earth and Life on Blu-ray and take home the sensational series in the sensational quality that it deserves.

Life of course was the second series. It's an 11-part showcase of the huge range of diversity of life on the planet, taking an intricate look at how these organisms interact with one another and get by and survive. Each episode in the series is dedicated to a different sect of life on the planet, from deep sea life to insects, from mammals to reptiles, from birds to fish and more.

When you watch the Discovery Channel or BBC series Life Blu-ray, you'll be struck by a huge range of different emotions. At times you'll simply be amazed at the footage, and amazed at some of these creatures as well. Other times you'll feel sad for their plight, or you will cheer them on to success.

Other times you'll simply wonder how in the world did these people get these amazing shots?! Some of the behind the scenes footage and talks about just that provide a lot of value as well. The Life Blu-ray promises to be absolutely stellar, it's a truly jaw dropping nature documentary and you should definitely pick it up to add to your collection.

Official release date for the Life Blu-ray is June 1st, 2010, but you can pre-order and reserve your copy now. There are two different versions, one is the BBC series narrated by David Attenborough. Fans have generally preferred his narration over the Discovery Channel version narrated by Oprah Winfrey. It's the exact same show, only a different narration, and Attenborough backs his up with more knowledge and experience while still being easy to listen to and relaxed.

Planet Earth was the first of these documentaries to air, and this one debuted several years ago. It paved the path for Life, and it was made much in the same way. Once again, the multi-part series takes an in-depth look around the world, this time focusing on the planet and environment itself. Each episode brings you to a different part of the globe, showcasing its unique climate and conditions, and taking a peek at some of the life that manages to survive there.

The Planet Earth Blu-ray collection is every bit as breathtaking as the Life Blu-ray is. In many ways, its sweeping and dramatic views of scenery and landscapes you'd never visit and can't even imagine are even more amazing. But both series are unique and special in their own ways, and of course they are the perfect compliment to one another.

So when you're looking to take home some of the best nature DVDs and documentaries ever created, buy the Life Blu-ray or Planet Earth Blu-ray. Both are available as DVDs as well, but the Blu-ray format will really provide all of the fantastic quality in its original, pristine condition.

Not only are these the best nature documentaries ever, they may just be the best Blu-rays to have in your collection period. The Life and Planet Earth shows from BBC and Discovery Channel are truly unique, and each minute of the show is unforgettable in its beauty.
